The Thermo Scientific™ HAAKE™ Viscotester™ 3 rotational viscometer puts reliable viscosity measurements in the lab, or right in your hand. Everything about this instrument is designed to ensure ease of use – its sophisticated design, individual user settings, graphical display with user guidance, and more. All that comes in a ready-to-go package complete with carrying case. It's so easy to use…it's just sheer genius.


Ease of use is built right into the HAAKE Viscotester 3 viscometer in a variety of ways. With its unique design, the instrument positions itself automatically with the correct alignment whether handheld or on a lab stand. The quick coupling enables a smart exchange of the rotors. In addition, user guidance is provided by color-coded geometries and a measuring range indicator. Plus,“Memory Assist” functionality allows the operator to quickly and easily compare measured viscosities with a reference value.


Measuring principle

A rotor rotating at a constant speed is immersed in the fluid to be tested. The fluid's resistance to the rotation is measured and converted into aviscosity measurement.
