The Next Generation of Multi-Station Thermal Asphalt System


The Thermal Stress Restrained Specimen Test (TSRST) is used to determine the low temperature cracking susceptibility of asphaltconcrete. In the early 1990s the TSRST was developed by Oregon State University (OSU) as part of the Strategic Highway ResearchProgram. The test method became AASHTO TP10.

Equipped with Pavetest's  Controland Data Acquisition System (CDAS) andTestLab software, the user can control up to 3testing stations in one unit, with  and ultimate versatility.

Pavetest TSRST-Multi employs a reliablerefrigeration system, capable of cooling at arate of 10° per hour. Mechanical refrigerationeliminates the need for liquid nitrogen, offeringa completely safe working environment for theoperator.

The Electro-mechanical and/or dynamicallycontrolled hydraulic power supply are almostsilent during testing.


Dynaflo TM

The servo-hydraulic station(s) are powered bythe Dynaflo Hydraulic Power Supply (HPS). TheDynaflo HPS is an innovative concept basedon “inverter” technology: An inverter is usedto control the speed of the pump motor to controlhydraulic oil flow based on the requirements;reducing noise and heat generation, renderingthe HPS silent in most applications. It alsoimproves the longevity of the pump becauseit only works as hard as it needs making it quiet,cool and long lasting.
